A great day at the diggins. ROMEO 1 and I spent 6 hours with fantastic views including a few bald eagles, and decent breeze sure made for a pleasant day.

6 Coppers recovered, one was my first cartwheel penny, was hoping to get to see the date off the large robust copper, but time, and corrosion has taken it's toll. Only the diameter, and the tell tale rim is all that is left to ID her. 2 Silvers a KGIII 6 pence, again no date but 1816-1820, and a Can 5 cent silver 1881, first half dime of the year. Lots of targets, but they were very sporadic, over a large area.

96 Coppers so far this year, can hardly believe that myself, 100 is just around the corner.

The big crotal is from yesterday (no coins)

Frickin' wicked hunt, Rick! Congrats on the first cartwheel and the fat head KG III six pence.

Is that a lead seal from Berlin up top?

Great hunts. You have some good hunting spots!

Awesome as always Rick!

You're hauling in some pile of old silver this year and the coppers ain't nothing to sneeze at either

Those cartwheels are a no brainer, easy to find like a hubcap under a blanket lol

Great diggings there Rick, I wish I could have got out with ya. I got the word today that the Honey-Do list is the priority tomorrow, so I wont be diving or hunting...... Bummer.
You go get some more silver so at least one of us doesn't go empty handed.
ZDD

Yes G. The same one I always find. Like to get a different one for a change.

Yeah the cartwheel was a crazy high ID on my Omega 88 to mid 90s, Didn't think it was going to be a coin. I picked, and chisseled down the 8" and there she be.

Don't know about "pile of old Silver" but that 1881 is the newest of 8 of them, and 4 of those are 1700s Spanish. Needless to say I'm pretty happy with this year...AND 3 months to go.

That is a bummer. In reality should wait for some rain anyway, it's getting so hard to get your tool in.

Nice going on the silvers and the added coppers to the count. Your having a real good hunting season this year.

I can see the top of the '1' on the Sixpence so must be 181?

Good hunt!

There's no stopping you now Rick...some great find there for sure...I've only ever found 1 Cartwheel...
