Went to a garage sale this morning and asked the lady if she had any coins she'd like to sell and after a little thought she said, oh! actually there are some in the basement, let me go get them. She came up with a little box that had plastic sleeves with coins in them. one sleeve had about 8 V nickels, one had 8 buffalos, one was S mint memorials and then one with 6 barber dimes. I asked her how much the barber dime sleeve was and she said $5! DEAL. 6 barbers for 83 cents a each! $2.55 of silver in each right now. all the other sleeves were $5 too, all common dates, pretty worn, figured probably not worth it. Got a 1910, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1914 and a 1916. Quite pleased!

great price there for silver dimes! especially barbers!
good job

Nice score!!!!

That is a very, very good idea to ask for stuff you don't see at garage sales. I ask for something at every sale. It paid off one time in a very big way...I bought a trunk full of high end tools for $85 one day.

I sold just one little set out of that lot for $55 the very next day.
