Couldn't go where I wanted today so went to one of my stand by tot lots. Hit an area I haven't hit yet and scored with this 14K gold bracelet marked with the European 585 and an oval with a vertical line through it followed by 11. 2 charms, the flower like one is pretty well done, the other is toasted. The broken round disk is a coin! I can only make out part of United States, no clue except a mower destroyed nickel maybe. The first picture is for size.

Nice hunt.
The toasted coin looks like a zincoln but it also looks too big. Maybe it's a flattened zincoln.

The bracelet looks like it may be plated to me but I could be wrong. Pics can be deceiving. 585 means 58.5% gold (14K) if it's real.

Actually it can't be a nickel, I was wrong, with where the United States is, it has to be a flattened, ripped up penny. It is the right diameter for the nickel but half the width.

Awesome gold bracelet! Congrats!
I haven't managed to fish any gold from tot lots yet, silver Ya.
Guess what...I learned how to like from my phone....:sly::D

Nice find Hh

Nice hunt - Congrats! :occasion14:

Nice going on the bracelet, is going to be a fixer or melter?

It never ceases to amaze me how we can pull the most coveted metal on earth right out of the ground.
TFS and HH

Nice job on some gold! congrats

Great find congrats! I have literally hunted tot lots to death in my area and have never found anything other than clad coins and some junk kids jewelry. It amazes me to see nice gold come out of a tot lot and it motivates me to keep on trying. It must be the area I live in. I'm in a rural area so there's not near as much traffic around here. One day it will happen though!
