My wife and I spend the day doing some shopping and Hunting,

We were doing pretty good, picking up about $3.00 in clad. Our last stop was for about 1 1/2 hours. Working a park attached to an elementary school. We had previously found a small gold ring at this park.

Picked up a nickel signal at about +20 VDI on my MXT Pro, dug up a coin much bigger than nickel with Japaneses writing on it (of course I didn't know that at the time.) turns out, it's a 500 Yen coin. Apparently it's worth about $4.90 at the current exchange rate. Certanly the most valuable clad coin we've ever found. And not a coin I would ever expect to find.

Then, about a half hour later, Got a +92 VDI that was going back and forth between .25 & .50. The last two times that happened, I dug two stacked clad quarters. Imagine my surprise when I dug this size 12 Silver Ring. Woo Hoo.

Ended up with $6.40 in Clad, A 500 Yen, Silver and a smile. My wife said the urge to hunt should be satisfied for a while? "But honey, no gold.".

Great looking ring. I found my first two foreign coins just last week. Both on the same hunt. I kind of like finding them now. They are interesting.
