First off ;

A U.S. district judge has ruled that U.S. treasure-hunting company Odyssey Marine Exploration should
return to Spain.

I Don't see the word Must
can this be taken Literally ?

Seriously a Judge can Rule we all should
Love our Neighbors. Dosn't Mean it
will Happen.

Besides

In an order filed in Tampa, Florida Tuesday, Judge Steven Merryday nevertheless directed that the return of the treasure to Spain be stayed until an appeals process in the case was concluded.

So it Isn't over Yet

The treasure is still in a warehouse in Orlando and its not going anywhere soon.

I don't know for sure that I would return all that cash BUT I would gladly send them pictures of me spending all that money .

Just another case where the damned lawyers will end up with the money. >:(

D. T. A. DON'T TRUST ANYBODY "TRUST"= TELL ANYBODY ALSO. DO NOT GET GOVERNMENT INVOLVED.

I looked into going with Mel Fisher on a hunt once but as I remember it he wanted some money so I passed . Anyway , I considered it a great mistake when he found the Atocha to tell the world . They shut him down like a frogs butt in 40 feet of water until everybody in the world had their say in the matter . Meanwhile he was broke . I will be the first to declare that if I found 500 million in sunken treasure I would make a real big deal about the ONE million I found after making a quiet deposit to my rather substantial retirement fund . After that they can all fight over that ONE million dollars . Get my drift ???

Another sad story.

There are a few explorers with vision and drive willing to risk danger, misery, and financial loss that find stuff, and lazy bureaucrats that just want what they never would have stuck their necks out for.

A really bad case was when an explorer found a series of wrecks off the Texas coast, and Texas forbade him salvage rights.

Without Mel Fisher, what would the Atocha have been? What would Key West be without Mel and his great family?

Please, send me a pic when the 500M in that warehouse start to be removed from Orlando to Spain, that's will be a historical moment to be documented.
