Picked up a bag of rolled halves earlier today. I noticed right way that at least 40 rolls had enders marked with black sharpie. Not a good sign. Upon returning home and opening a few marked rolls, my suspicions were confirmed. All the coins were marked. Someone else looked through this batch. The rolls come from SecureTrans, which is a local coin rolling operation. I don't think they're culling silver though, probably just got someone's rolled dumps is all. Oh well. I'll drop them off later and see if I can't get another box/bag before I go back to Fairbanks on Sunday.

HH guys.

hey it sounds like you are getting yours from the same place i get mine. i mainly work out of the valley banks but i had the same problem. but dont be fooled by them 2 weekends ago i noticed most of my halfs were marked with a black dot but i did get 3 -40% and one franklin. So what banks are you going to in anchorage so i am not stepping on your toes?

Awesome to see another Alaskan here on T-Net! I mainly stick to the southside banks since there's at least 15-20 within 3 miles of my house. I have accounts with Wells Fargo, Denali, and Alaska USA. When I have time I'll sometimes hit the midtown banks I haven't been to in a while. Do SecureTrans boxes produce silver for you? I know my local WF gets String boxes, but I'm not gonna give up on the ST if they're not culling.

Secure trans has been producing silver for me. i called up secure trans and they dont own any coins they are just a storage place for all the banks so i am hoping to get to the bottom of the pallet with halfs. but i have found silver in my halfs as well as my dimes in secure trans. most of my halfs were marked with a black dot but i was able to find some silver even though the majority of the halfs were marked.
