50 coin day: 925 "O" draws blood
From the land of the Bluenose.....had a few hours to kill before it was time to leave for work so what does a bouy do..he goes a digging. Should have known by the look of this bouys face in front of a gym on the way a digging that I was in for it today.
Of course the next landmark on my way to go a digging was a lot more pleasant as I drove by the Princess Lodge. This round building was built for Edward Cornwallis for his mistress Julliet so that she could watch the Bedford Basin and play her music. Some believe that the place was built round so that no "evil spirits" could corner anyone inside.
On the other side of the highway up in Hemlock Ravine Park is a heart shaped pond that he also built for his true love. Man Marie is lucky to get roses a few times a year!
Anyway I arrived in one piece and promptly began my dig and promptly stabbed myself in the hand with my digging knife drawing blood. Lord love a duck was I livid with myself. Good thing it wasn't sharper. Even this little puppy that I took out of that hole was no compensation for Mr. Clutz!
Anyway glad no one was within earshot of this bouy who let out a string of obscenties that would have made a Halifax stevedore cringe! Nothing much after that save for a 1946 nickle and in an hour and change had my quota and headed home with no keys found putting an end to that streak.
Take for the day was the silver ring, two tags and 55 coins @ $8.o4 including the 1946 nickle.
Big day tomorrow for my daughter Kayla as she graduates from high school so I took half the night shift so that I can pick Maw and Pah up for the ceremony at 0900hrs.
Day also sees Marie heading to Bangor ,Maine with her sisters for a shopping trip and this bouy off to Prince Edward Island for a ball tounament which will see my Garrett Freedom Three Plus crossing the Confederation Bridge.
