I bought this signed & numbered print yesterday. The writing in English at the bottom reads "Motsuji Iwate Noh Drama". I've discovered that Motsuji is a Buddhist temple in the Iwate Prefecture in Japan, and 'Noh' refers to a traditional Japanese masked drama with dance and song. So, I know that the artwork depicts a dancer in a Noh play, but I can't decipher the artist's signature at all, or the Japanese characters below the image. The print is numbered 53/75, and the opposite corner has the numbers “01-101” and what looks like “12,000” or maybe “12:000”.

My eBay research leads me to believe this type of artwork is not very desirable or valuable, but I'd hate to sell it without at least doing my due diligence first to make sure this isn't a sought after artist. Also, would you call this a print, lithograph, serigraph, woodblock print...? Thanks in advance for any help. HH!

Looks special to me, but I'm thinking I'd go crazy trying to figure out who made it and when? I picked up these hand painted Japanese earrings and I found out they were called Noh Mask earrings and I made around 30 on them. Being you got it for five bucks I'd say you don't have much to lose. If it was mine, I'd start it at $29.95 and if that didn't get any takers, then I'd drop it to $19.95. If that didn't do anything, I'd then donated back to the place I got it for karma.
