I worked an old house lot today (house is gone) and came away with a 1927 SLQ (my first), 1912 and 1913 Barbers (also a first),
1943 Mercury and a 1947 Roosevelt dime. I was ecstatic for a 3 hour hunt. Also found 5 older wheats and a couple dirt covered nickels.

When I cleaned them up I found one of the nickels was a 1944 war nickel!

Also a kid's compact and a broach.

Made going out in the 40 degree weather worth while.

a dream hunt for me, way to go!

That was a very productive hunt, congrats on the silver.

What a great day tcornell. Must have been exciting to dig all that silver.

I invited 3 friends to hunt with me on the same 2 acre site. It is full of farm iron and trash and I had gotten tired of digging. Probably a mistake but I felt good for them. They found a Washington quarter, 2 mercs and a rosie. The third friend came after work for an hour and was rewarded with a 1963 Franklin half..........his first in almost 10 years of detecting. Me...I found an old compact and a couple wheats.

Of course now they owe me a hunt on a good site! Always a bright side to everything.
