I just listen for the sound of silver when I get my change.

I agree. I still get wheats & last week even found a Buffalo Nickel in my change. Havent found a silver coin in pocket change in over a year though.

What has older folks got to do with it? I represent that! :laughing9: Monty

While i would be tickled to find some silver in my pocket change.
getting it from someones dire straights or confusion would not thrill me

I have run cash registers for years and most of my silver has come from listening. Silver makes such a different sound from regular old clad. A few years back a man handed me a mint Peace dollar. I still can't believe it but apparently he was in serious need of a beer.

What's weird, is that I've checked my pocket change religiously every day and haven't made a silver find in 20+ years! ffd

this is far from someones dire straights or confusion.. just older people with older change. and a lot of the stuff we dig comes from someones dire straights or confusion... like CW RELICS lost in the confusion of the Battle. life is a WAR... MR TUFF

This is so true. My wife found a silver Washington during a school fundraiser. I could not believe it!
