5 days to MD... Where should I go???

Ok, here's the question... I have 5 days to take a trip... I'm in frozed Wis. I want to take my MD with me on the trip... can go anywhere in cont. U.S.(leave the 28th) ... Where would I have the best luck
Also, can you take a MD on the plane, not sure I want to check it as it's new and never been used (also expensive).

#2. Yea - You can take it on the plane... just pack it in with your stuff... lots of folks here have done that and talked about it working out just fine

#3:  Do a heck of a lot of research before you go.  Go with leads and ideas--written down.  Take google earth printouts and old maps/topograpical maps, etc.  You'll save a heck of a lot of time if you are interested in finding anything old--unless you just want to get your fix at the local tot lot or park.

One of the secrets of MDing is that it isn't as much about "luck" as some might believe. What you want to do is minimize the amount of "luck" or "chance" involved by researching in advance and getting the best sites possible for the time you're there.

Right now southern California is colder than a well diggers patoote...plus its raining.

Hawaiian Islands is a better bet.

The idea of staying home and investing in a new machine is an excellant idea...go to Blockbuster and get a couple of DVD's, a six-pac, some chips and kick back.

Or you can send me the money and I'll write you a letter and tell you what a great time I had...and that it was a shame that you went to Blockbusters and got a couple of DVD's, a six-pac, some chips and kicked back instead.

The idea of new MD sounds great... but just last week I bought a new Whites M6 and a Tesoro DeLeon. So, the thing is I don't want to get the snowblower out to find the ground to MD on! I'm thinking Fl., Georgia, or S. Carolina... what beaches would I have the best luck(?) on. I want to try something different cause I can coin hunt in city parks all summer long.
