I'm addicted! 4th visit tonight to the local soccer fields complex and still going strong. 14 quarters, 23 dimes, 4 nickels, 19 pennies, a Disney token, an amulet, and a key. Earliest dates on the dimes and quarters was 1965 (just missed silver). 004.JPG005.JPG

Seems to me you are the only one pounding that site. I had 2 virgin sites last year that (combined) produced about $350 total in clad. One of the sites was turned into a park back in the 70's so no silver there. The other was behind and old school. It was so infested with coins that often I would not dig unless it rang in as a quarter or bigger. The 2nd site has produced Barbers, Mercs and Rosies.

Congrats on the nice day full of digging targets and the nice clad haul. What are you up to in total face value this season?

Holy-Moly ,You must be exhausted to dig all those items. A very active and productive area for sure.Good hunting there.

Well, I would think finding 350 dollars in one area of coins a banner find for sure. I would have to had to get help getting back to my car.I can only dream of a site like that.

They were dug at about 20-30 dollars a day, Not enough hours in a day to dig every coin on a couple acres in a single hunt or 2. They helped pay for my Fisher F4 I used most of last season. I dug over $500 (in face value) in 7 months last year. Not doing as well this season since I am doing more permissions and looking for the older coins. I still enjoy digging clad though when I find a good public place that has plenty of targets. I am at a little over $200 so far this season in face value. I did dig a coin that is worth $125 minimum and $425 max.

What is great about spots like that is that they tend to keep getting replenished like some beaches I hit! Congratz!

018.JPGHave dug over 200 coins here so far and am starting to get a little tired. Have only covered about 1/8 of the entire area. For this year am probably at $150 in clad. Since I started at Christmas time in 2013 have cashed in over $450. I much more enjoy the older digs and finds but I will certainly take it from where ever and how ever it comes. After all it is the thrill of the hunt! You just never know what will pop up. Found these today in about 1 hours time in (you guessed it) the soccer fields.

The thrill of the hunt is what keeps me going also. The anticipation of seeing what's in the next plug...
