Hit the site I have been hunting for the past 6 months this past holiday weekend. Could only hunt for a few hours early each morning as the heat was unbearable once it got to be about 10AM. The finds are getting scarce now...mostly just deep minies. Used the T2 SE and all the minies were 7-9" deep. Also visited an old wooded Union camp site that I have hunted for 10 years...found nothing but a bad case of poison ivy...not even Tecnu could stop it. Thanks for looking all.

nice relics!!! MR TUFF

I was wondering how you did Bill. That's still a good hunt especially for this time of year. What's your appraisal of the new detector vs. the old one? HH, Quindy.

Nothing wrong with those finds. Congrats on the CW lead. :hello2:

Great recoveries there!! You did real good.Try Colgates Octagon soap for the poison ivy,it works for me.

good hunt. I love seeing those large CW bullets come out of the ground. Other bullets, I don't even keep. congrats

Nice hunt my friend! That's a solid day of digging in anyone's book. :icon_thumleft:  The piece to the right of your Minies, I cannot tell for sure because of the angle, but it looks like an Enfield scabbard tip...or possibly a Springfield scabbard tip that's lost the finial...cannot tell if the other end's solid or not.

Great hard earned relics seky pal :headbang: :hello2: md ing in the woods , this time of the year, is not for the light hearted ,,, searching in thick ground cover , ivy , ticks , gnats , bees , snakes , skeets , fire ants , poison oak , 90 degree temps , etc. :P stay cool out there in the trenches ... :occasion14:  dawg
