Edward II of England VILL/SCIE/DMV/NDI Bury St Edmunds - hard mint to get, not sure why EDWARD is missing its 'D' :icon_scratch:

My mistake, I just edited. Can't work out why it was not spelt properly. Immitations (produced by French Dukes for example) circulated with our coins they just had less silver & if spotted were worth less than a Penny.

I am very curious about 'hammered' coins. why were they hammered, and why so many?
