Here's what happens to pewter after some time in saltwater, found near an old toll crossing along with Cft coins inc several GII HPs, a shilling size lead piece, a lead pillar dollar, and a Continental army coat button .
Appears the tollkeepers defaced the fakes (cutting the surfaces of some, hammering and drilling others) and tossed em into the drink.
As stated 44mm, I see man standing above exergue, (arm extended?) reverse has a smooth area where some lettering is visible,
Top Left: 'BEIN??? Top Right: 'T?D
?? ?ATION'
?X???' ????

There appear to be a few larger letters visible around rim at the 1'oclock position.
I realize this is a long shot, maybe someone has seen a medallion with the standing man on front. (I've looked through all google images found under 'pewter medallion man standing')
Thanks for looking
