Jason and I went out again tonight for the low tide. Although it's hard to stay out that late, it proved fruitful once again.

I worked the wet sand while Jason was doing the dry. After a while we both hopped into the water and that's where the finds really started coming in.

Fresh Yen drops and even a lot of jewelry too.

I scored a large silver ring (15.19g) and thought to myself that it was probably one of the largest (if not the largest) silver rings I've ever found here.... only to have it trumped 5 minutes later with one that was larger (17.19g).

No gold appeared tonight... unless one of my junker earrings turns out to be gold. Still have to take a closer look.

So the plundering was good. I scored 3,530 yen ($44), 2 large silver rings, 3 small silver rings, a small silver pendant (not pictured) and about 5 pieces of junk jewlery.

You are rolling in the precious metals...... thats a nice batch of goodies. $44...... We need more people to use the president dollars to get that kind of money.

It's a regular silver mine over there, I take it there's not too much competition?

That was a great night out! How much is a yen in american money?

The current Buy price at the banks is 80 yen per 1 USD. Lucky for us, the Japanese make coins up to 500 yen, so if you score a few of those, it's like a part time job.

There really isn't any competition over here. Actually, it's still a rather well kept secret.

Real sweet finds.:icon_thumleft:

You and me both brother... I only have 5 platinum rings so far this year, and 1 18k/Platinum (about 50/50 each). I think I had like 8 platinum last year, so I don't have much time to get to that same number. My "year" ends Nov 1st for log book entries.

Wow.nice finds .Thanks for sharing

Nice silver haul...congrats.

Its the gold! Yes detecting is gold!!

Fantabulous finds! Woo Hoo! :headbang:

Just an aside - my son was stationed in Okinawa at Camp Fatima back in 2000-2001.

Keep finding those rings!

Anita
