Spent around 400 bucks today on some Israel Jewelry. About 30 rings, a dozen or so pendants, and some necklaces. All sterling. I've been trying to do research on the items, but I cannot find any pendants that even closely relate to what I have. Similarly with the rings. Only 1 or 2 finished eBay listings that are similar. I think I'm going to list the stuff individually first, and what doesn't sell group together in a lot. Everything is marked 925 Israel, or something along those lines. Anyone familiar with any of this stuff? Maybe know a name I could search for? Thanks!

Have you ever heard of Silpada? They manufacture a LOT Of their silver from Israel. They have an arrowhead logo. If you any pieces like that, sell it separately. _DSC9634.webp

They sometimes hide them in crazy places, like on the post of the earring. Check on both the inside and the outside of those chunky rings. Their stuff is butt ugly, IMHO, but the ladies get into bidding wars for it. Check Ebay to see what their stuff is like, but they are all over the place.

what is that micoscope that plugs in to you computor calld ? I cannot seem to remember..I have a singkle stud with a large diamond on it marked 14k on the post but i can not make out the makers mark it is all on the post. I hope some one can help me find them. I think you will get an average of 30-40 on the rings I cannot see a lot of money in those pendents sorry for that.let us no how you do..h.h

The shape of the first set of pendants are representations of the Hebrew Chai symbol, The hebrew meaning of Chai is life. The stars of course represent the star of David. Put the word Judaica in your listing. Some of those pendants look pretty hefty. I think they will sell better if you put them on a chain that corresponds with the size of the pendant, versus selling them without one or selling them with a dinky little chain.

Look for pieces marked Bezalel

1. Consider that Israel is a fairly young country. That being said, there is a good chance that most of this stuff will be modern production pieces and not actually vintage.

2. Half of your pendants are religious symbols. That will severely limit your market. How many people out there are in the market for Chai or Star of David pendants?

3. If you want to maximize your chances of moving this stuff, you could find out when a local Synagogue has an annual Hannukah fair and then set up a table at the fair selling jewelry.

Were you able to acid test a sample of these items? Some of those pieces look a little off, but I am no expert.

List individual. This stuff sells very well. The best and oldest pieces are marked Palestine or Jerusalem not Israel. Names to look for include Bezalel. Look up Bezalel - cam be a picture mark or Hebrew.

The first pendant with a chain sold on eBay for $175. It was called a book pendant. Unsure how to link the listing from my phone?

Omega, call the local Chabad House. I know some of them who run synagogues in different areas. Maybe they can help you sell the stuff. Passover is coming up ... Might be a good time to get some of that out there. If you need phone numbers, PM.

This is like saying "call the local church and see if they can help you sell your collection of cross jewelry". Just seems like strange advice.

Except that sometimes they have functions that might serve his purpose. Our JCC has a book sale every November, and local people sell a bunch of stuff there, jewelry, other Judaica. I happen to know the people who run several different ones there, and would be happy to serve as a go-between. It seems if you want to reach a certain crowd, then you go to the source.

I had several crosses that I wanted to GIVE away. I offered them to several people, and finally someone told me that it is something Catholics would be interested in. Yesterday I stopped by a thrift shop that I frequent, and offered it to them. They were THRILLED to get them. I would have never known that had someone not told me. Only offering advice. Happy to keep my mouth shut if it bothers you.

No.

Read my post #7 "If you want to maximize your chances of moving this stuff, you could find out when a local Synagogue has an annual Hannukah fair and then set up a table at the fair selling jewelry."

That is NOT what you said. You said "Call a chabad house... Maybe they can help you sell the stuff." To me, that would be like calling a church and asking a priest to help you sell your collection of cross jewelry.

It sounds like we are both basically saying the same thing, however the way you posted your statement it sounded very peculiar.

Don't make me out to be a bad guy just because you tripped up on your words... Yikes.

Don't take it personally, he is like that with just about everyone.

All I know is I don't have any problem selling religious memorabilia, be it Catholic or Jewish. You can usually find a local sale to set up at either during the season, Church or Synagogue.
