Hi All,
Dug around the old seaside dump for an hour or two,
I'm starting to think that the coins come from street repair dumping rather than people swimming here,
They seem to be most concentrated in the asphalt rubble than in the sandy areas.
'57 Washington, 43 & 45 Jeffersons,
Two old buttons, solid brass hemispherical with drilled shank, and a handpunched pewter.
My favorite find was the silver U Of Maine pin, awesome condition,
thought it was a militia button at first, Maine has one of the nicest state seals, farmer and woodsman, pine tree, and the north star,
even motto still visible, 'Dirigo' latin for 'I Lead'
Very nice sash buckle, bunch of wheats, colonial pottery, buttons, and a nice pile of scrap
Thanks for looking! HH Everyone !! Herbie
