Found this bullet last night here in pittsburgh in a yard of a house built in 1900. I have found coins as old as 1881 and Definitely no battles taking place here. So just wondering what this guy belonged in. And an April age? Was it brought here as a collector picec and then dropped ?Any ideas

It is about the length of a nickel

I'm not very good at IDing post war bullets, but I think it is a wad cutter. I can assure you it is not civil war but we will have to let the pros tell you exactly what you have.

The photo makes it appear to not be made of lead? Is this correct? It appears to have rust, not characteristic of lead (unless it washed on from nearby rusty objects) -But I could just be seeing it wrong.

Appears to be a post-CW wadcutter as Duggap opined, unsure of exact caliber without some actual measurements though. Maybe a .38/.357?

Looks like an RCBS wadcutter pr a plain 'ol Remington .38 Special wadcutter for a target pistol. c. 1970's. Might be older but definately post 1900.

That sounds like it would fit with the sites age a little better

Thank you for the help!!
