I can't even describe how excited I am! I found this amazing silver coin today, 4 Mark - Karl IX from 1605. This is a very rare coin and I can't believe I found one! It looks like coins from pirate movies, I didn't know they really exist!!! :D

That's one heck of a old Silver coin find. That thing is right up near the top as far as coolness.:occasion14:

Ramsundi,

Amazing find, 400 hundred years old and the coin’s details are still sharp. Can you provide some details of where and how you found it. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

I was metal detecting in other town and on the way home I decided to check this one new small field where I recently got permission. It was getting dark so I didn't have much time, this came up from second hole I dig in that field :) From first hole I found musket ball.

Holy moly that is awesome. Need a hunting partner? Looking up flights to Helsinki now lol. Way to go!!

That’s an oldie and a beautiful coin.
Congrats

On another forum that coin is rated 97 out of 100 for rarity.
That's good enough for me to vote BANNER especially due to its fantastic condition, design and after more than 400 years in the ground.

Congrats on a fantastic piece of history. That must have been a tremendous thrill to pull that from the ground. Based on Don's comments, I am also voting BANNER.

Thank you very much guys!! Tomorrow I'm going to check that field again, there is still some area I haven't go through yet :)
