ok now don't laugh too hard, but this is 8 days worth of hunting!!!! Not a SINGLE silver to show, I hit a couple yards, and several field sites, got a few cool digs, but man did I put in the hours to get em! I would have to say this is the smallest pile I have ever pulled for 8 days worth of hunting!

4 indians are, 1866, 1882, 1891, and 1907, one was in a yard betcha can tell which one..lol
The trade token is my favorite find, it is from a local town closeby. The 1916 Buffalo was a field find, pretty good shape. The shield nickel was a surprise, thought it was an electrical box knockout or something, super smooth, took it home and hit it with steel wool and a 5 and stars popped out! wow a SMOOTH shield nickel, my 8th shield nickel this yr. Thimble has my town on it, that was neat, and one eagle button missing the back. Not super finds, but way better than going to work!

Nice haul, like the thimble.

That is one fine day of detecting!

How fine steel wool do you use? An do you clean them dry or wet? Thanks

I just use walmart brand sos pads, steel wool with soap on them, and I do it under running water, I clean all nickels this way, brass and aluminum tokens, verious relics etc. The aluminum token was completely corroded on both sides, sos removed 95% of it
