Hi everyone, I went back to the house today where i found my Silver Australian crown. I was able to squeak out a few more coins. 1 toasty V, one super toasty Buff one Indian head and a Chinese Coin dating between 1736-1795. Its called a Ch'ien-lung. I guess I'm now in the 1700s club. I also found a compass/ Locket and finally... I found a peanut driving down the road.

Congrats on a great hunt. Love that compass! Did the Planter's Peanut man give you any peanuts? Lol! :laughing7:

Congrats on your coins. Sorry but I have to say I like the peanut the best ( I love peanut butter!)

Nice selection of old coins sir.

Best of luck to you.

You mean their was a man inside that peanut? :laughing7:

all this talk about food, toasted peanuts? or toast and peanut butter? with a little Chinese thrown in? great variety of finds and sightings

Nice finds and yes, the Nutmobile is a Planters promotional vehicle that travels to shows and festivals. They were just in Raleigh, NC on May 19 for a Taste of NC Festival or something like that. They promote the Planters products and show off the vehicle. Bet they were on the way to the next stop on their tour. Neat sighting!

I've never seen the Peanut Mobile - but have seen Oscar Meyer Wienermobile and got a whistle - Nice Digs!

Reading your thread title, I felt a little disappointed for you and all the time you put in for a meager 4 coins.

But then I read the thread and see the pictures, so now I have to say "Good Hunt"!

I have never seen the Planters mobile but I have seen way too many nuts driving on the road here. Congrats on the finds!

I was thrilled to find these four coins considering they came from an area that has been pounded by myself and my son over the past couple weeks. All four coins were at least 8 inches down and under thick roots making each coin a challenge to retrieve without damaging it with the tool. I found them with the Tejon and surprisingly all the signals were super clear and deeper than expected.
