Oh, oh...watch out!!! Immy is rolling his sleeves up....getting serious....ha!

Get em Dave and good luck. Let us know how that box turns out.

BTW - Did you say in an earlier post that you have 3 of the Jefferson nickel collection books filled?

I have four blue Whitman nickel folders. Two are complete, #3 needs three more and #4 needs five more. That's why I'm curious how long you take to fill yours.

Right now my box o' nickels is in my car while I sit at work. Argh, the anticipation... ;D

Nice job of the fours books Dave. Once a book is filled what is the value of one today? Like the halves, these books will go to my grandchildren.

It may take a while for me though. I haven't done much searching of nickels. Of the boxes & that one casino trip I had accmulated three rolls of the pre 60's.....I took those rolls and started filling slots and bought a box last week. Went through about half of that box so far.

I have 57 holes left to fill for both books. I did find two war nickels a while back & put them in the holders so I will not use those....have to find them in my searching.....ouch. I will probably search nickels between half hunting.

Sounds like a good plan, LJ.

I've seen completed books (Volume 1 only) in average circulated condition selling for $40-$45 in dealer ads. The nickel design changes created new interest in the series and made whole sets a sellable item. The rising price of silver can only enhance their appeal. Your grandkids will benefit.

Sorry to hear the $40 in nickels wasn't as good as you would have liked. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the box produces a lot of goodies for you. Good luck
