✅ SOLVED 4 Feet underground dug up.... Need help identifying specifics.

As we dug a grave for our pet cat today, we were about 4 feet in the ground and retrieved this artifact. From what I can conclude it's some type of stone axe or tomahawk from an Indian tribe of some sort. I do not think it is a recreation, nor do I know which era it's from. I am located in Southern New Jersey and would like to know more about this item. THANK YOU

Yep I'd say axe head. Nice find!

Post it in the North American Indian Artifact section here and somebody more familiar with your area will likely assist you.....you do have an "ax"...Native American one for sure though

Yes as a matter of fact we did. He was a large cat, he needed a big hole... Vet gave us a nice sized box for it as well. So yes, the hole was about 4 feet deep.
