After finding an 1862 fatty IH in a local Park on 6/26 (150 yrs old), I searched my front yard with my nephew/Godson looking for some coins under an old clothesline yesterday on 6/30. I don't think this coin was actually related to that old clothesline; but I think it was lost long ago by the property owners who owned this land prior to my Grandparents buying it in 1926. It's an 1882 Indianhead penny, with some real environmental damage that makes it look 130 years old for sure. I never imagined that a coin of that age would ever be in my yard; but I guess you never know and it pays to look! So, that's 2 really old IHs in 4 days, no silver; but I'll kep lookin', lol.
