Wow you had a great hunt! That Virginia button is very nice. Would like to see some close-ups of the type of bullets you dug. Never hunted in Virginia and am curious of the types they used in the eastern theater. James

typical bullets in virginia depend on of course where your hunting, william cleaners, enfields, gardners, 3 ringers, spencers, richmond labs sharps sharps ring tails, yankee sharps...LOTS of those....44 cal pistol...big round musket balls, the one bullet that isnt found there in any frequency is the 69 cals you would find down around your area.....if you ever get a chance to go up to VA and hunt its worth the trip ...theres at least one bullet in every patch of woods, yard, and park it seems everywhere you go

Wow, that's one killer hunt!

You've got enough lead to build your own battery! Nice finds!!

All the best,

Lanny

I was stationed at Ft. Lee, VA in the 1980's.....right next to Petersburg. Lived in Hopewell. Great place to hunt, and some really
nice folks living there. Got permission to hunt several old, old houses....and didn't get permission to hunt others. Did hunt the Petersburg park in the middle of town. Found some very old, interesting stuff there.
Make the trip there, if you can. It's a great place....full of history.
