Got to spend 4 days at a Delaware beach this past week and hunted every day and found nothing but a little clad, cleanest , very clean beachs,a couple bottle caps but not one pull tab, somebody told me that the sand had recently been replenished, maybe later in the summer it will get better, hope I get to go back.
Back to dirt diggin.

Sorry to hear that! Did you hunt the water too? Well, at least you had 4 days in the sunshine!
Best of luck!

Excellent!
This grueling four day search with little reward has proven that you have the stamina and willingness
to hunt heavily hunted beaches where the probability of any find is low but where the reward is exceptional when a target is found, such as Spanish Coins/Relics.

I purposely selected such a beach in Hawaii for my first hunt with an Excalibur ll as I was more interested in testing my endurance and patience than finding anything. Since my goal is to eventually hunt some of the beaches close to 1715 Treasure Fleet locations that can be legally hunted. My expectation being that these beaches are not only heavily hunted, they are hunted by some of the best detectorists. Knowing this , I would only be successful if beach conditions were right, or I was extremely lucky.

Unfortunately, I did surprisingly well on my grueling ten hour hunt, with the standard S shaft, which set me up for disappointment as a result of unreasonable expectations rather than testing my will.

Shane, I've had plenty of days of nothing, also.

The targets will improve..keep at it& good luck out there.

I got a pair of water shoes and quickly developed a blister so I'm still looking for right thing to wear on my feet, I'm hunting with an explorer se pro so even though the coil is water proof it's not a water machine , I like to hunt during low tide and get as close to the water as I can without getting too wet, I also hunt the beach access areas and volley ball areas, the umbrella rental huts can have big coin spills around them but don't hunt them when there open.
The backs of my legs are still sore .
