Made a little road trip today with my son to the Newaygo area. We didn't find much that was old: 1928 Buffie, 1921 dog tag and a 1929 wheat were the only goodies we could find along with the usual clad. We did run into an long time detectorist- he has been doing it for 54 years he told me and he told us about a bunch of his finds over the years and about the places he has hunted in the Newaygo county area. Fun day just listening to some of his stories.

It is always a successful hunt when you find that little extra coin from yesteryear like Buffalo's & wheats. Good Hunting! :occasion14:

Hey was his name Bob? Nice finds.

....and did that old-timer look lonesome?....great hunt, love finding those "indian head" nickels. Always fun listening to the old-timers!

Nice digs - congrats on the Buff and wheat. Love the old dog tag too - WTG
