Still in TX, found a war nickel (kinda counts as silver), wheat and a 10 cent token for Colgate ribbon dental cream in an empty lot. Went to another lot and saw something moving in a hole. Thought it was a hermit crab (which would have been odd). Turns out it was something far more nefarious. Had to prod the harry beggar out of his hole for the pic. Check tarantula off my bucket list. The war nickel definitely counts as a silver,
(35% Silver).
If I saw that spider while I was digging a target, I would leave the park. Changing my underwear would have to wait until I got home.

I was hunt
ing an old farm last weekend and when I pulled a plug back, a big, hairy wolf spider crawled out...ugh...I'm not a fan of anything with more legs than my dog...congrats on the silver! Ddf

I used to have a couple of the range kneed varieties of these as pets. (they are not poisonous) Not sure about this one.
Congrats on a war nickel Getting more and more rare.

Last year I was Geocaching in a Park. Hunting caches can be hazardous. I assumed the cache was in an irrigation box and pulled up the lid to see that I had just tore open the side of the beehive that was in it! I ran fast and avoided a single sting from the swarm of angry that came out of the hole. Not really sure how I pulled that one off.

Yuck! That big hairy monster would give me nightmares for a month. Congrats on the silver nickel.

Grew up in North Texas and went to old WPA built high school made from local quarried stone, before AC in the schools, the old Windows had no screens and would be left up as it got hot in September and in the spring. Was not uncommn for tranatulas to crawl in, had one teacher who would let them crawl up on his arm. Never stung him. Not poisionous.

Cute spider. He's winking at you. Nice find on the War Nickel and old token.

Biggest spider I've seen not in a tank. Never know what you'll see or find in this hobby

Nice going on the silver and the nickel both are in fine shape. When spiders are too big they do the creep factor on me, even though I know that they're non-poisonous types.

Great finds, even the tarantula ! My wife and I spotted one crawling up a hillside in New Mexico about 15 years back when we were on a Bear hunt. He moved so slow, its almost as if I wanted to push him along to get to his destination faster.

War nickel or OD nickel definitely counts as silver. Hairy spider, hope I never scratch that off any bucket list I have. Lol
