I may have found my best find to date, but might need help with an ID, the ring was found diving cape point south Africa, baffles bay... The hallmark seems to be close to the one in the link putting it at the 17th century... If you able to help me Id the marks, stone and style that will help alot

You have a winner their man!! Definitely valuable. Although I'm not seeing Emerald unless your camera is not good. I see blue probably a sapphire. Very awesome find man!! Congrats.

Yes it is blue, seems abit soft to be sapphire, giving age I would say it maybe be a blue topaz seen that tanzanite is a new stone and not from that time period, it may even be a warn sapphire but will know when I have a gemologist look at it, the only thing that my ring has in common with the link above is that it's gold, a ring and has the same marking lol.... I need to get back to that area and look for more items

:censored: Love that! That's a banner in my book

Banner vote for a Beautifully Old Gold!!

Can you give us a little details on the dive, not the location but like how deep you were and how it was found..

Cool find Jason. I also vote Banner on this one. Let's hope the last few winter swells open up a bit more for you on the site.

Awesome thanks guys.. Hopefully I'll get some gold coins next at this spot, reminds me of the other guy here that found the silver coin in coral then ended up finding some ship

Do you need HELP? That's a beauty. Tell us more when you find out. :occasion14:

Real nice!
Got my Banner!

Awesome Ring!!! I would have the stone tested theres no telling what it could be.

Iv set up an appointment to get it looked at next week, I will let you know how it goes.. This ring was found diving, I was literally entering the water from a shore dive and got my first signal straight away, there was a layer of sand about 10 cms and the solid rock that the ring was sitting on, it's found near a location that's known for many wrecks but until I have all the info on the ring the I'll be able to match it to one of the wrecks

Jason, Congrats on that beautiful , extraordinary ring find! :headbang:

I wish you continued success!

Lorraine
