It took me ten minutes to get this thing out. I really don't know why I bothered. I was exhausted afterwards. Should have left a "pre-dug" hole and let my hunting body get it. Anyway, found near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Truly massive in size...That is a large brick it is on.

That looks like a broken piece to a pipe flange. Like what is used and welded on big pipe, (gas pipe or steam pipe type stuff? )The inside edge even looks beveled. :dontknow:

I agree and probably from a repair or installation of a pipeline running under the Bay! A bunch of those could get you a little gas money at the Recyclers, considering that you are a long way from home or at the least, the place where you make your' home.

I was thinking part of heavy equipment tire ring.But pipe flange sounds right also.

You might be right! Now looking at it, it doesn't look thick enough for a weld flange. Unless it was low pressure, maybe.
