Went and hit all 30+ banks in the town I live closest to looking for halves. Not expecting to find many (and I didn't), I planned on buying a couple of boxes of dimes as well as a few other rolls of nickels and quarters just for a little variety. Pretty meager finds.

Halves - skunk

Dimes - skunk

Nickels - skunk

Quarters - 1963D (ender, but didn't notice it until I opened the roll)

With only 5 banks left to visit, I had only a handfull of halves that I already knew were skunks as well as the 2 dime boxes to search. I decided that at these last 5 banks I'd buy $100 at each bank - $20 in nickels, $30 in quarters, and $50 in dimes. At the next to last bank I heard myself ask the teller for $50 in dimes and $50 in quarters instead of the 50-30-20 that I had been buying. It wasn't planned, and I have absolutely no idea why I did it. That's the bank the silver quarter came from. I wonder if the lone silver was in those 2 extra rolls of quarters.

Good thing you asked for $50 in quarters instead of asking for the $30.......Matt
