My 3 yr. old granddaughter came up to me yesterday evening and wanted me to find pennies for her to dig up. So, I got out my ACE and we went around the front yard. I got a solid penny/dime hit at 4" and showed her where to dig. She soon had excavated a ditch in the yard and when I checked she had already dug up a penny and left it in the tailings. It's not the prize she's after, she just likes to dig up my lawn! The little fart! I showed the penny to her and she was like, oh well, and went right back to digging her trench. I examined the penny and it was a 1952 D wheat cent! She dug up some foil and some scrap roof flashing and was tickled to death! Later on she came in the house with a handfull of rocks she had dug up and wanted me to wash them for her. She had seen me washing up my finds at the kitchen sink several times. It is definite, she and her Mom and Dad and little sister Katy are moving to Seattle as soon as they can get their affairs in order. I'm going to miss those girls soooo much! Maybe Kiley and Katy can come and spend part of next summer with me and Grandma? I sure hope so! Monty
