I do find silver coins now and then, but too anemic a number to bother charting LOL.

The 250 can find the clad though :0)

If you added carnie sites then you'd be off the chart!

That's quite a lot of coins there Oz!
By the way your coin count keeps climbing you must be pretty good with that Ace by now.
Next year you'll start nailing the silver.

Great clad count, Oz. Man, the Ace really is a clad killer! I remember when I first upgraded to the Ace 250 in 2006, I was astounded at how much better of a detector it was than my previous machine. The coins at parks and tot lots just seem to jump out at you! I never really got that deep with it, maybe 6 inches or so at most, but if there was a coin above that mark, the Ace told me. I especially did well with it in the tot lots, where most of my gold is from. To this day I still use it in the tot lots, when I'm not able to get in the woods and want a quick, clean clad/jewelry fix, though I use the M6 exclusively elsewhere. Keep up the great success you've earned. Here's an old shot of a typical tot lot bounty taken in 2006.

OZ,

It's very clear to me that you are a dedicated detectorist. If you are digging that much clad you are putting in some time to say the least.

If you are not finding much silver, the sites you are hunting either just don't have enough of it, they have silver deeper than 6" or are too trashy for the ACE to see them.

I would say now that you know you've been in it to win it for 3 years, treat yourself to an Explorer or E-trac and either start reworking those trashy sites, digging deeper and start making the drives to the really old sites. You WILL start finding more old stuff.

How are your wheatie and indian totals?

Not too bad on the wheat ears, the bulk were from pre-house tear downs (putting in a parking lot) and sidewalk removals. Ended up with 105 wheat ears, just 2 I.H. (both at a sidewalk tear up).

Sounds like you just need to hit some older areas then. If most of your wheaties and the two IH's came from old areas, then I'd say you just gotta get more of those old areas under your coil. Not necessarily the sidewalk tear ups, but old parks and old farm houses. Maybe some old picnic and fairgrounds or horse tracks. HH!
