I spent several hours today testing out "Gonehunting's" program on the CTX 3030. I went back to an 1885 house that I thought I had hunted out. Boy was I wrong! The program definitely takes some getting use to because it is a wide open screen with NO discrimination. After a couple of hours you actually start to tune it the iron sounds. The program works great. It's my new go to program.

I set a record for me today finding 3 Victory nickels (1911, 1907 and 1892)! Prior to today I had only found one other. They are hard to come by here. I also found several wheats (20's and 40's), two pocket knives, an old Mineral Springs Texas fob, Oklahoma 5 mil tax token, horseshoe designed clip of some sort and a really cool button that I could really use some help identifying.

A great day for me! Thanks for looking! Now let's see if the picture function on here is fixed:)

Great finds, nickels cleaned up nice. What is your method? Congrats on a steller day.

Thanks man. I use SOS pads and then a little fine tuning with some #0000 steel wool if necessary. Seems to work well.

Nice finds asmerri! Give Ironhearted Gog's US coin program a try. It's awesome too.

Congrats on finding the lady liberty v triplets :icon_thumleft:

Congrats in the 3 Vs ! Although I think the winner is the mineral water piece. That's an awesome find!

Thank you! It is a pretty cool piece. I'm still not exactly sure what it is. That sucker was about 8 inches down and underneath a HUGE root. Took some work to get it out!

Very good finds....congrats on a good hunt!

That is super awesome.

I tweaked around with the CTX threshold and pitch and was able to hear a couple more coins that I missed in my hunted out places.

Hey Pointman, have you tried out the 6 inch coil? I have one on order. I hear they are amazing.

Nice bunch of finds!
