The first stickpin is an oval pin with a bunch of writing on the front. Around the wording, it states "DEUTSCHSEIN-MEIN-STOLZ - 1927 -" the initials in the circle above the words on the face are D V A. The other words across the front read: "LANDES-VBD WURTTBG WERBE-WOCHE". There is no writing on the back.

The next pin is a man riding a horse bareback. The only writing on the front of the pin is the letter R in a circle at the bottom beneath the horse. On the back is printed: GES GESCH. L. CHR. LAUER NURNBERG BERLIN.

The third pin is newer, and has the initials udh or vdh over Deutshland. On the back is printed B. H. MAYER PFORZHEIN. (I'm guessing that that is the maker of the pin)

Any help with these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Similar pin to your 'horse' pin can be found here as "N165": http://www.helmetsandheadgear.co.uk/german_awards.htm

Thank you very much. The item that I have is the small stickpin pictured with the larger pin. From the price listed, it looks like the pair are fairly scarce. Thanks for the info.

Re: 3 Unknown German stickpins... Help!

I think the first badge is for the VDA (Volksbund für das Deutschtum im Ausland) not the DVA. The VDA were the People’s League for German Culture in Foreign Countries

The badge with the horse is the German Young Horseman's Badge (Deutsches Jugend-Reiterabzeichen) which was first authorised in July 1932. It was awarded to boys under 17 that showed proficiency in horsemanship.

I agree with the post below - the third badge is for a post-war disabled veterans association - "Sozialverband VdK Deutschland" (Sozial association VdK Germany) formerly "Verband der Kriegsbeschädigten" (Association of war wounded)

Thank you very much for your identifications. I had never seen any of them before, and couldn't translate any of them. Your identifications make perfect sense.

The VDK pin is likely from an association of disabled war veterans.

Chip V.

Thanks for the identification. Must be an organization similar to our DAV.
