We found this fork in an Estate Sale. I have not been able to find it with any searches on the internet. This one is 12 1/2" long with the tapered wood handle. I have found similar ones... but, not like it. I'm wondering if it was a "meat" fork? Engraved on the underside is a line with a "WB" above the line and a "W" under the line.

Hope I'm not wasting your time... but, stumbled upon you awesome guys! So far, I just spent the last two hours reading over your finds! Sooo impressed!!
Any help is appreciated!

Three tines, stamped, separate metal ferrule, turned wood handle, painted.

Too long for individual's meat eating fork.

Perhaps a serving fork from the 1930's? Cold cuts and already sliced meat?

Thank you for your reply!!

That was my thoughts - maybe a "meat" serving fork. I'm wondering about the rarity and value of it - I've searched for days to keep coming up empty handed.

Also, I'm not familiar with the term "turned wood handle" - does that mean that it appears it's been "turned" in shaping of the handle?

The mark is from Wallace Bros / Wallingford, and was trademarked in 1895.
