WoooHooo! What a morning! Hit a local park I hadn't done much at and doesn't look like anyone else has either. All of these were within 3 inches!!!! First find was my first Washington Quarter, 1959 D, this coin was under some moss on top of a rock, good thing too. At the base of the same rock wedged between it and another rock was this 1963 D Rosie. The good thing about the quarter being right on top is that the area(no real hole) was still beeping mad. I lifted the second rock out of the way and...nothing, I swept the rock itself and screaming mad signal. I tipped, flipped and scanned the rock from all angles, screaming mad. My luck was good because if that quarter wasn't so obvious and I had discovered the rock setting the machine mad I would never have found either coin.
Next up was the Spanish Peseta, which of course has that nice gold look to it(aluminum-bronze).. Then, after two pull tabs, right near the surface pops up this 1944 Merc! Finally, an inch or less under the dirt came up this 1848 Victoria Farthing! My oldest found coin to date! My best detecting day of my life so far!
