Hey everyone again,

Didn't get to hunt as much as I would have liked to over the weekend but I did manage a few hrs here and there.

Saturday, I met up with my dad at a old school ball field to teach him how to use his ace a little better.

While doing so I walked around and picked up just quarters basically. Found almost 6.00 in change in less than 2 hrs. I don't do clad hunting but I did to help him get better.

Saturday, I had a few hrs to spare. Me and my son headed to a old park. I found the button not pictured and 3 wheat's and 2 awesome musketballs.

I guess I went a little over board on the cleaning. They look better now than a hundred yrs ago when they were dropped. I guess I was bored and wanted to see how well I could clean a few.

But today after the wife came home from work I decided to head out before the rains came.

I was only out about 1 hr or so. And I was able to get three silver dimes. I took my youngest boy and we had a good time.

I cut the trip short because we already found good stuff and he was getting tiered.

The dates are a 23 and 44 merc. The Rosie was a 53. Haven't had a 3 silver dime day in about three months. I was on a roll tonight and should have stayed out longer.

Should get some better time this weekend to get out and hunt hard.

Thanks for looking,

HH Jer

Wow, jer. Nice cleaning job on the silver. I can see my reflection in them! ::) :P

Sounds like a great time detecting to me,
cangrats Jer, nice silver there.
How did you clean those so well?
They don't actually look polished, but really nice.

Nice finds Jer!

Hey, um, I have some stuff in my house that could use a good cleaning--while you're in the mood and all.....

Agreed one sweet job of cleanup on the silver. I am yet to find any silver yet, however I would think 3 in one day would be pretty sweet. I am sure my day is coming.

Congratulations on the sweet find,

Postalrevnant

Nice finds. I had a two merc hour about a month ago. Any hour with more than one silver is a good trip. Yeah and you do clean your stuff well. :)

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I hate to leave a site when your finding silver. I knew it was coming though.

My last few trips or so have been alot of wheat's.

I do have a great secret for cleaning silver and any alloy or metal.

It's called mothers mag and aluminum polish. Or mothers billet more expensive.

Red and white can. Sold at walmart or any other autoparts stores.

It makes silver look unreal in just seconds. I use this stuff on all common coins and relics.

Ugly silver will come back really nice. 8.00 bucks for a big can and 4.00 for a small.

The billet I like a little better. But it's 15.00 a can. It's not worth the extra money unless you can afford it.

All you do is rub some of it on a silver coin and in seconds it looks brand new. Buff with a clean towel until desired look.

You can take off some black. Or take it all off. It also works awesome on old relics. Put it on a tooth brush and brush it on for awhile.

Then buff it off. Take my word for it get a can. I haven't had many others tell me they went out and got some.

But the one's that did were amazed they said. I love this stuff. It works great on any coin relic artifact or gold.

It doesn't ruin scratch or harm it at all. It even takes light hazing scratches out.

I use it on crome and man it shines.

I'm a clean freak from my house to my car. My stuff is always neat and clean. I guess it shows in my finds.

After your done get some soap and water and a light tooth brush and rince the coins and mothers residue off.

Let dry and you'll have a ugly coin look Au.

Hope this helps. If anyone tries it let me know what you think.

Also remember that this stuff works best when most or almost all the dirt is removed from a item first. And item needs to be dry.
