Okay, so not today but I took the day off on Tuesday to get a little diggin therapy.

Dug a bunch of crap like usual and then popped some silvers. First was the the half. Second was the Merc. Third was the Washington. My firsts for these coins. I was besides myself...

The benjamin half sounded like another dam bottle cap but I dug it anyways as I usually do. Come to find a small nail and some foil right next to it. Just goes to show you dig it all. I pulled a lot of trash but had to, to find these beauties!

Some bonus clad and some wheaties.

And some real bonus Morel mushrooms.

Sorry some of the pics are blurry. The lens on my phone bounces around a bit.

you gotta love the surprise when what you figure to be another piece of trash turns out to be awesome silver or gold. persistence eventually pays off. congrats

Sweet silver trio there mate. You said it, dig it all. Some of my best finds were iffy signals. Crap in the hole along with the good stuff will fool ya'. Great hunt.

Nice job on the silver, and a nice big one too!

You didn't just find 3 silvers, you found a Franklin half dollar. They come out of the ground far less frequently than Walkers. Great day! Thanks for sharing. BTW, if these were all firsts, watch out, the addiction is setting in. It only gets worse with time and more finds. There's a lot of silver out there in the ground. Here's some of mine. This pile doesn't include the seated coinage or reales or better condition Barbers and SLQ's.

Congratualtions on the big silver finds! :occasion14:

Thanks everyone. It was a good day for sure. Gunna try and go back this weekend. It's the second time I've been to this place and still haven't covered it all.
