Finally…the hot weather broke and the conditions could not have been better. After a quick stop for coffee this morning, I headed to a local park and pulled out the Compadre.

I don’t know how old the park is but the houses that surround it date back to the early 60s

After about 3 hours of swinging I pulled a whole lot of screw caps.

I also plucked 3 Silver Canadian quarters and a very interesting action figure made of metal. Can anyone ID the Action figure? I think its a Masters of the universe figure.

And of course 85 clad coins.

Over all...a pretty fun morning.

I have yet to pull any jewelry from this park but I am hopeful it will come as the pull tabs and screw caps thin out.

Happy hunting everyone!

Thanks, It was a pretty fun day. How three Canadian quarters wound up in a park here in NC is beyond me. They were all within a couple feet of each other.

You had a great hunt.

Nice haul on the silvers, what are the yrs?

Nice finds! Well done, congrats and HH!

Congrats on your three Canadian Quarters. Thats a good hunt for the day.

The quarters were 1961 x 2 and a 1964. They were pretty shallow...about 3 inches. The Compadre works great in that park because nothing is deeper than 6 inches. I had the dial set between pull tabs and zink and check the holes with no discrimination in case a nickle was hiding.

Good job on the silver. Those clad coins add up quick I save em all in mason jars and jars and jars lol at the end of the year a rock tumbler a little salt and lemon juice they clean up great.. My oldest coin is an 1886 silver canadian quarter here in Mi good hunt Thanks for the post!!!!!

I doesn't strike me as Masters of the Universe. Look for some small writing, probably on the legs. It should have a year and a manufacturer.

Congratualtions on the productive fun hunt! :occasion14:

Thank you for the direction. I cleaned it up and found some microscopic writing on his butt. It said 1994 Made in China Toybiz. I did a google image search and found the character.

You were right... its not Masters of the Universe. Its an X-men Super Villain called "Omega Red

Case solved:occasion14:
