So I got to meet up with Micah from Ohio on Saturday to enjoy the beautiful day detecting. We started at an old park, but only managed to find a crusty wheat penny each. We moved on down the road to do some door knocking at some of the older homes in the area. We stopped at a place that had a good size yard and asked the owner if we could detect. We got a quick yes from him but also got the "it's been hit before, you're probably wasting your time". We start right in the front of the house and start finding Wheat pennies. We stayed and finished out the day here and I ended up with some clad, 9 Wheats, a 1920 & 1942d Merc, 1957 Washington and an 1899 Indian. Micah found a bunch of Wheaties and his first Tennessee Silver! Not to bad for a place that had been hit before. This was just from the big front yard, I hope there is as much on the sides and in the back yard. We both had a great time, and I enjoyed getting to meet a great guy from Ohio. HH David

I don't ever get discouraged when I hear a place has been hunted. It makes me slow down and try harder to find a keeper or two. I don't think this place was hit hard as all my coins were in a small area.
