Spent some time researching new sites to hit. Found a few abandoned farm sites on PennPilot aerial. Hunts in the woods in W PA becoming very difficult with the forests filling in. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1493728716.906344.jpg
6 more wheats, 1920 oldest, my silver to wheat ratio now at 21:77. Found 2 deep fully copper'd quarters in at these sites, thought LC again, but no, my nemesis last year 1965 quarters...
My first painted box turtle, he was shy for the picture ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1493728938.458067.jpg
I believe these are Model-T valve stem covers and some other farm house relics.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1493729002.681639.jpg
And more large roundness in the holeImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1493729046.453168.jpg this ended up being an aluminum token.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1493729085.206447.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1493729094.586136.jpg
Good luck out there!

Nice finds. Looks like place to visit and detect again!

still pretty cool finds

That aluminum piece is actually a tag, not a token. It was connected to a roll of fencing, similar to the advertising pieces tied on the laces of shoes of the same era, and was hoped that the end user would put the piece in his pocket as a "lucky piece" and be reminded to buy the product again. Here's an ad from the Pittsburgh Press of 2 Dec 1897.

Thanks for the insight. There is a small hole top dead center that makes sense as a tag. It was the best signal all day ringing up as a perfect silver 50 cent piece.

Really cool tag...that could be a 100 years old! the tag reminded me of the game changer that was "wire rope" that revolutionized logging at the turn of the century.
cool suspender buckle too!

nice scout work, the finds show that...those 65 quarters have also been a habit I have...but old none the less..congrats !!!
