New design, batteries can be removed without taking cover off, also changed grip cover. Can also make for DFX and XLT

Are these water resistant? If I were to get caught in a light rain?

Mostly cosmetic protection, might give you a few extra seconds on the box in a light rain, think you'd be safe with the screen since it's already tight.
