Found the war medal pin first, seemed a good find. I really had no idea that something else would top it just a bit later on. The eagle pin was the next find of the day for me, at first it seemed to be a lump of metal, then some of the mud fell off and the eagles outline showed up. What a rush! A bit further on the diamond shaped piece showed up, figure this is a watch fob?
Have all three items soaking in some olive oil now, will try to gently clean them later on and post more pictures. Hope that some details will show on the medal type pin ! At any rate this was a great day for relic finds!
