Metal Detecting
I am hoping that the wise folks on this forum could shed some light on the following items that I have found in about as many hunts.

The first item looks to be made out of brass. It may have had a chrome or silver finish to it. The "chambers" have a small connection in the middle of them. They are not isolated holes.

The second item is made of lead. It has a white patina, so it is probably fairly old:

Last, this item is obviously made of iron or steel. It was found at a site where I found some turn of the century items. I have not cleaned it up in any way:

I have seen the top one before, but for the life of me can't remember what it was a part of.... killed too many brain cells in my early years. Maybe it will come back to me, I will reply again if it does... now I have a goal in life for the day! What catches my eye and made me think about it is because the bottom square is off center, hmmmmm....

I've seen the first one before too, but I can't think of what it is, or even where I saw it.... The third one, I think may be part of an old shutter latch similar to this one:
gravity-latching-shutter-catch-cast-iron-92i-256px-256px.jpgI have one much closer to the one you found somewhere, if I can find it I'll take a pic and post it here.

I bet your on the right track, because on the end there are two shoulders sticking out on either side, which would act like a hinge like the one in your picture.

Top one is a gas valve key.

Are you sure? Why would it have two square holes? I know I have seen that thing on something I have around the house, just can't put my finger on it, and I don't have anything with a 'gas key', but you may well be correct.... but I have been wracking my mind since yesterday to remember where I have seen that thing.....
