I got out Thursday for a short hunt after work to a hard hit park and dug the '53d Rosey the sterling ring and a '92 V nickel plus 3 wheats, not bad for a few hours at this park. I got off work early Friday and headed out to another park that has produced silver in the past and dug a 1910 Barber quarter, the '36d and '38 Mercs, a '46 Rosey, a '92 Injun and 4 wheats. Saturday I went back to another park that has been good to me and it was good to me again. I dug the '51d Washington, the '06 Barber dime, the '29 and 45 Mercs, the 64d Rosey and 8 wheats. I also dug the foriegn coin that I posted, I usually don't get too excited about foriegn coins but this one has me curious. If anyone knows what it is please tell.
Yesterday my wife and I went to look at a fold up camper and I ended up buying it, now I will be able to combine the two things I like to do most, camping and detecting, good combination!! Thanks for looking and HH.

That's a great haul! Hope you pull out a ton more from those sites!

Yes... that foreign coin is a Japanese 10 yen coin. Current exchange rates being 75 yen to the USD.... so that's about .13333 cents

I dig a lot of those being in Okinawa. They're great for the vending machines on the street corners :laughing7:

Awesome Awesome..and Awesome..I would love to have that many silvers in 3 hunts

wowzers, great hunt!

Nice finds!! That ring looks like the symbol for having a family member in the armed services in harms way. If it were a gold star then someone in the family died in combat. What do the sides look like. Very cool!

bobbypins: what can you buy in a vending machine for 12 1/3 cents? Curious.

I save all those 10 yen coins up and put them in the vending machines that are everywhere around here. Most things cost 100 yen, so it's a good way to get rid of 10 of those 10 yen coins. Luckily, I don't find that many during a nights hunt.... but when I do, they wind up in a jar.

Ok, a buck and a quarter makes a little more sense. One can't even buy a bad joke for 12 1/3 cents these days. Or a bad chinese fortune from a used cookie.
