that place is still producing.. i didn't think there was anything left..lol awesome job

Ranging from 1868 to modern time.. you have a great site.

I would be hitting that place again for sure...nice finds for sure

Nice coins! Especially the 2 cent.

Got to say that is one nice post!
Man, that is a far cry from what you got last time.
As you would think from your last post--it was a hunted out area.

Why do you think the difference in finds? Ground moisture?

Wow so great. I got my first silver war nickel today. I gave it a white vinegar bath and looks pretty good. I got all the black spots off of it. congrats on your finds!!!

Not sure what what brought them out. Odd part I went over the spot where the 2 center was at least 4 times
throughout the day, and all of a sudden I got this loud possible clad quarter sound.
it was only about 3 inches down in slate filled ground.
Moisture is higher right now, it could have played a part

cool ! yes allot of my war nickels come out stained, because of the low silver content.
Still fun to find.

congrats and some sharp coins! what detector were you using?

yea some of my first thoughts of going here were skunk day.
but once on site & after that guy left, something drew me to
a particular spot. from there it was 2 coin spill wheat & merc, 4 wheat spill, 2 wheat spill
kind of a day. must have been a spot used for sitting around in the 50's.
all 20th. century coins were found in pretty much straight line
2 center was found where I walked every time I tried to walk away from my beaten path
for change of scenery :laughing7:

I still remember my first trip to this park July 2, '08

barber dime & seated dime in that order :laughing7:

The first day i met you and i found my first piece of silver there. A lot of cool finds have come out of that spot.

Congrats again on the great day Jeff!!

Jim.....I told him yesterday that I bet I could put him in the ball pit at the Chucky Cheese and he'd come out with silver coins.....LOL!!
