Yesterday I spent 3 hours with my XP Deus.
It was my 4th time using it with a grand total of 8 hours spent so far.
I am extremely impressed!
No silver yet but it’s a matter getting the coil over the silver first.

Here are my finds from a site that has been hit hard by my Nokta impact and the minelab Nox 800.
Lots of clad, 4 wheats of which the oldest is 1919, a heavy ball of some kind of metal and some interesting event pins.

Honestly, I don’t understand all the negativity on how the deus is hard to use.

HH everyone!

Wow! Looks like you left some goodies behind with the other two machines. I’m glad you are liking your deus. Congratulations.

This is a very trashy site and I am sure I would have picked up most of this stuff with my Nokta but I feel the signal on the Nokta would not have been as sharp and I would have had to swing the detector much slower.

Congrats on the new machine and nice finds! :occasion14:

Ive heard alot of good things about the deus looks like you did well good to hear its not to complicated to use. Those square pieces look like wheel weights for aluminum car rims

Good to know...I knew they were weights but was not sure what kind. I have found lots of wheel balance weights on the property but none that look like these.

Figured i could sell them as lead sinkers for fishing. :laughing7:

I just got an XP Deus a few days ago and am trying to learn it. Watched a few videos from the calabash digger where he is hitting a dime and quarter at like 10-12". I did a test garden and couldn't barely hit a silver dime at 6" on any program. Barely hit a silver half at 12". Not sure what I'm doing wrong and hopefully will get it figured out. My ground is not very mineralized I don't think. I'm only getting 1 or 2 bars for mineralization. But overall I like the machine.

It likely has to do with the settings within the program he was using as well as the coil and the age of the test garden. Coins that have been in the ground a while have a halo effect that helps with depth.

Good luck with the new toy!

Congrats on the great finds !

The Deus is a fantastic machine.
A lot of people, including myself run Gary's "Sifter" program in junkie areas.
I've used the Sifter program on over 90% of my hunts over the last 5 yrs. - literally made thousands of finds with this program.
Sifter uses "Full Tones" - once you get use to the tones of this program - the good targets really stand out.

Good Luck & Good Hunting !

Not doing anything wrong, you can mess with recovery speed as it has a big difference in depth on the Deus. Calabash has some very mild soil where he is at. My results are similar to yours here in RI. Could not get much depth (compared to the Nox) out of the deus here unless i dropped it to recovery 1 then it was a beast but you cant hunt that slow when hunting in the iron.

That is a bunch of targets! good hunt!
