Sunday the weather was beautiful here so I finally decided to bite the bullet of the price of gas and drove to a nearby town to an old fair grounds that I know of. I parked my car by the concession stand and within 5 minutes (the first target I dug) it was my first indian head (1896). I got excited and immediately thought "This is gonna be an awesome spot to hunt". Well 3 hours later after nothing but pull tabs, pop cans, and very little clad I headed back for the car. I was so bummed, I really thought I would at least find a silver rosie or a merc.
So yesterday after work I decided to go to a friends place who has been using my back up detector. She lives on a farm that has been there for over 100 years and is listed as a Missouri Century Farm. I only had a couple hours to detect but what a hunt for me. I dug my first SLQ (no date) and my first silver Washington (1944). The Bulldog keychain/fob is pretty cool too, it says Avery engines Peoria, IL. Sorry about the quality of the pics, I think my camera is about dead Thanks for lookin'
